Biography

Dr. Hollie Bethel (1913-1998) was a professor of teacher education at the University of Omaha and its successor the University of Nebraska at Omaha, from about 1953 until 1977. Dr. Bethel received a B.S (1943) and an M.S. (1951) in Education from the Municipal University of Omaha and an Ed.D. (1957) from the University of Colorado. Dr. Bethel's Ed.D. dissertation was based upon her research at OU: "A study of the student teaching program in elementary education at the University of Omaha."

The Hollie Bethel collection includes materials related to Dr. Hollie Bethel's life in education. She served as a professor of Teacher Education at the University of Nebraska at Omaha from about 1953 until 1977.
