Nancy Pettit McLaughlin was born on 21 March 1868 and died on 17 August 1939. She was the daughter of Merit and Mary Ann (Ruckman) Pettit and her sisters were named Amelia and Christina. Her husband was Elba Clark McLaughlin (1871-1924) and they had one daughter, Gladys Marie McLaughlin Owens (1895-1967).
