Biography

Sarah Osborn is the Director of Intensive Language and International Professional Development (ILUNO and IPD) at the University of Nebraska at Omaha.



"Sarah Osborn holds a bachelor’s degree in French, a master’s degree in Language Teaching, and graduate certification in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from University of Nebraska at Omaha. She obtained her Ph.D. in Educational Studies, with an emphasis in Language, Literacy, and Culture, and graduate certification in Mixed Methods Research Methodology from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She has previously taught English as a Second Language and French at UNO. At UNL, she taught courses for Department of Teaching, Learning, and Teacher Education and was an instructor for a federally-funded professional development program for teachers of Chinese. Her research interests include intercultural communicative competence, effective teaching methodologies, service learning, and program evaluation. She has published her research in diverse journals and presented at local, national, and international conferences."
