Williams, Wightman
Biography
Paul Wightman Williams was an American artist. He joined the Cummington Press in 1944 as an illustrator and press operator. He continued to work with Harry Duncan at the press until 1952, when the press was temporarily closed. During the interim, Williams returned to New York and worked as a painter, exhibiting his works in the Bertha Schaefer Gallery. In 1954, when the Cummington Press reopened in Rowe, Massachusetts, Williams returned to the press, where he resumed his partnership with Harry Duncan. Williams died in an automobile accident in 1957. His death ended the Rowe era of the Cummington Press.
