Biography

James H. Nieuwenhuis (April 12-1922-October 30, 2005) was born near Granville, Iowa and made his home in San Diego, California. He served in World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War. His tour of duty in Vietnam included Da Nang, Hue, and Phu Bai. He retired as a master gunnery sergeant in 1977. He was married to Virginia, and they had a daughter, Carol Ann.
