Biography
Paul Kennedy was a University of Nebraska at Omaha Professor of Secondary Education (1955-1985) and Dean of the College of Education (1967-1975). He received undergraduate and graduate degrees from Fort Hays State University in Hays, KS, and an Ed.D. (1955) from the University of Kansas. While at UNO, Kennedy served as a member (1971-1978) and president (1973-1975; 1977-1978) of the Omaha School Board. Professor Kennedy received many honors for his service to Nebraska education, including the Nebraska School Masters Award (1978), the Nebraska Association of School Administration Award (1979), and the Nebraska High School Activities Association Award (1980). In May of 1980 Paul Kennedy was the recipient of the UNO Chancellor's Medal.
