Biography

Thelma Engle was the University of Nebraska at Omaha Hostess and Activities Director (1946-1975, retired). She served as Placement Office secretary, University Hostess, Director of Student Activities, and Associate Director of the Milo Bail Student Center. Engle's responsibilities as Hostess/Activities Director included being the first contact for anyone who desired special university services, such as dining services, rooms or facilities, or special events and lectures. She also served as a charter member of the Opera Omaha Angels and as vice-president of the Women's Division of the Omaha Chamber of Commerce.
