Donald Cushenbery was a University of Nebraska at Omaha Professor of Teacher Education (1964-2009). Professor Cushenbery was born in n Sharon, KS. He received a B.S. (1948) from Fort Hayes College in Hays, KS, an M.S. (1954) from Emporia (KS) State University, and a Ph.D. (1963) from the University of Missouri. In 1971, Donald Cushenbery received the UNO Great Teacher Award.
