Biography

Kris Berg was a University of Nebraska at Omaha Professor of Education and Health, Physical Education & Recreation (1971-2016). Professor Berg received a B.S. and M.S. (1968) from the University of Kansas and an Ed.D. (1973) from the University of Missouri. His teaching and research interests include applied physiology, exercise in chronic illness, physiology of exercise, and exercise for special populations. Professor Berg received many teaching awards including, the UNO Great Teacher Award (1978), the Excellence in Teaching Award (1988), Council for Advancement and Support in Education (CASE) Nebraska Professor of the Year (1989), and the UNO Outstanding Teaching and Instructional Creativity Award (1994).
