Biography

Bert Evans earned a BA in agricultural economics at the University of Nebraska in 1953, and MA in economics at the University of Texas in 1954, and a PHD in economics at Harvard University in 1966. He was a professor of agricultural economics at the University of Nebraska from the early 1960s until his retirement in 1989. He also bred Charolais cattle.

Scope and Contents

The collection includes correspondence, writings by Evans, biographical information, photographs, teaching materials, collected articles and clippings, and subject files.  Most of the materials relate to Evans' work in economics, in particular agricultural and rural economics.
