The most significant portion of the materials are research files on quilts and textiles, which are dated from 1918 to the present. There are also newsletters, magazines, pattern books, and materials on quilt judging. Some of the items relate to institutions or groups such as the American Quilters Society, the Women of Color Network, and the Quilt Conservancy.

Content Description The Laurel Horton, Quilt Paper contains Laurel Horton’s correspondence, interviews, publications, personal journals, quilt exhibition materials, quilt scrapbooks, conference and workshop presentations, American Quilt Study Group seminars, and quilt research materials including English, French, Swedish, African American quilts, and other research.
