Scope and Contents The Teche Campaign of the U.S. Civil War began in early April 1863 and was conducted in Louisiana.  This collection consists of one handwritten page dated April 8, 1863, describing troop activities and conditions during the Teche Campaign.  Among the places mentioned are Brashear City and Berwick Bay, and reference is made to General Nathaniel Prentiss Banks.  An envelope with the page indicates it was found in a book in New York.
