Scope and Contents The oral history interview of Wallace McClellan was conducted by UNO student Sandra Baxter on March 19, 1976. McClellan was a full-blooded member of the Sac and Fox Nation of Oklahoma. His great-great-great grandfather was Black Hawk, war chief of the Sauk tribe who lead a band of warriors during the Black Hawk War of 1832.
