Biography
Teacher Corps Developmental Training Activities were associated with the Center for Urban Education at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Floyd Waterman, the UNO professor of education who founded the Center for Urban Education in 1968, was instrumental in bringing the Teacher Corps to Nebraska, first at the Omaha Indian Reservation in 1966 and later at UNO in 1970. UNO's Teacher Corps recruiting and referral center began in 1970 and ended in 1981.
