The School of Health and Kinesiology (H&K) is part of the College of Education at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. H&K's degree programs are accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) and the Nebraska State Department of Education.

Prior to August 2017, H&K was named the School of Health, Physical Education and Recreation (HPER). The name change to Health & Kinesiology was intended to reflect changing societal priorities regarding health and wellness, with an emphasis on scientific disciplines needed to combat US national challenges such as obesity, diabetes, and an aging population.

The School of Health, Physical Education and Recreation was proposed in 1973.
