Academy of the Visitation (Dubuque, Iowa)
The Academy of the Visitation in Dubuque, Iowa, was founded in 1871 as an offshoot of the Academy of the Visitation in Georgetown, Washington, D.C., a Roman Catholic school and convent. Despite the setback of a terrible fire in 1936, the academy continued to operate until 1970.
