University of Nebraska at Omaha. Student Programming Organization

Maverick Productions is the student programming board of the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Membership consists of about twenty undergraduate students. The organization's mission is to provide social, educational, entertainment, leadership, governance, recreational, and other opportunities for student involvement. Prior to May 31, 2008, it was known as the Student Programming Organization (SPO). SPO was established in 1968/1969, just after the Municipal University of Omaha merged with the University of Nebraska system to become the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Prior to the merger, SPO's predecessor organization at OU was the Student Union Board.

Along with Student Government and the Gateway newspaper, it is one of only three student organizations to be supported by student fees.
