Biography

The Department of English at the University of Nebraska at Omaha is part of the College of Arts and Sciences. The Department of English dates back to the University of Omaha (1908-1930) and its successor the Municipal University of Omaha (1931-1968), which merged into the University of Nebraska system in 1968.

Scope and Contents The UNO Department of English Creative Writing Publications include Cardinal Short Stories and a complete run of Grain of Sand. Cardinal Short Stories was a single volume published in June 1932 by members of the class in short story writing at the Municipal University of Omaha, taught by Hugh Robert Orr.
