Biography
In 1911, the School of Fine Arts began at the University of Omaha, soon thereafter being renamed the Division of Fine Arts. In 1929, it became the School of Fine Arts. In 1944, the School of Fine Arts dissolved, and separate departments of Art, Music, and Speech were created. In 1973, the School of Fine Arts was re-established, becoming the College of Fine Arts in 1976. On July 1, 2005, the College of Fine Arts merged with the School of Communication on July 1, 2005, to form the College of Communication, Fine Arts and Media (CFAM).
